Risks Involved in Black-Hat SEO Techniques
As we all knows that Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is must for any online business. SEO has lots of techniques and on basis of these techniques; we can differentiate SEO in 3 categories namely “Black-Hat SEO”, “White-Hat SEO”, and “Grey-Hat SEO”. These three categories are different from one another on basis of techniques used in them. My article mainly revolves around Black-Hat Optimization.
According to various SEO experts, Black-Hat optimization is very risky for your website. This search engine optimization is very different from white-hat optimization and grey-hat optimization. This optimization is mainly done by using various improper techniques to get genuine traffic on your website and to maintain good page rank. If we keep on using these techniques, various search engines will black list your website from there ranking and it will directly affect your sales and online business. Here I will list few techniques used in Black-hat Optimization which are very dangerous for your web page.
“Cloaking” is one of the most common techniques used in Black-Hat optimization. Through this way, various owners try to misguide search engine spider to visit on their web page. Information they provided to various search engines is not the same as used in their website. By doing this, they easily attract spiders of search engines towards them and it results in generating immense traffic. If any site applying this technique to get high ranking is spotted by search engines, they will blacklist them with in no time.
“Keyword Stuffing” is another techniques used in Black-Hat optimization. This technique is very much visible and easy to spot in any website. In this technique, web owner use excessive number of keywords in content or in Meta tags in order to generate more and more traffic. This process can also make your website to get blacklisted from search engines. Search engines mainly love to find new and unique content. But as far as I have seen, mostly bloggers and web owners try to copy content from various websites or article sites. This technique is known as “Duplicate Sites”. Few years back, spiders were not able to distinguish between original content and copied content. But now they can easily recognize duplicate content and can make your website banned from their search engine ranking.
Link Exchange is one of the most highly rated SEO techniques which are mainly used in order to get immense traffic on your webpage. So every web owner tries to exchange links with other websites in order to increase back links. But according to spider’s point of view, this inter connection between websites should be relevant. In other words, websites which create these links just for sake of getting genuine traffic will be banned by search engine’s spider. This technique is mainly used by various black-hat optimizers.
Providing proper SEO optimization to your website is very necessary but you should not apply those techniques which can create harm to your website and your online business. Some webmasters try to use Black-Hat optimization just to get quick profit from their website but this is not a profitable deal for long term. Always keep these things in your mind before applying SEO techniques on your website.
