The AFC (American Football Conference) and the NFC (National Football Conference) were created as a way to organize the teams in the NFL (National Football League) into two separate conferences for scheduling and playoff purposes. This division helps maintain a balance in competition and ensures that teams from different regions have the opportunity to compete against each other. The winners of each conference ultimately face off in the Super Bowl to determine the NFL champion. **

AFC Richmond can be compared to clubs like Sunderland, Leeds United, or Nottingham Forest, as they have experienced periods of success in the past but have also faced struggles and relegation. These clubs have passionate fan bases and a rich history, similar to AFC Richmond in the show "Ted Lasso." Israel is a member of UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) and not in AFC (Asian Football Confederation) due to historical and political reasons. Israel was originally a member of the AFC when it was founded in 1954, but was expelled in 1974 due to political tensions with some of its neighboring countries. As a result, Israel sought membership in UEFA and was accepted in 1994. Geographically, Israel is located in the Middle East, but its football teams have been competing in European competitions since joining UEFA. **
